The Department of Speech and Hearing hosted a national seminar titled "Exploring the Latest Trends in Education: A Focus on NEP-2020 and the Empowerment of Children with Special Needs through Rehabilitation" on May 22nd and 23rd, 2025, at Sharda Hall, MCHP 365体育直播. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Arun G. Maiya, Dean of MCHP. Dr. Archana G. and Ms. Reka Patil served as conveners for the event, which was facilitated by Dr. Usha Devadas, Head of the Department of Speech and Hearing. The seminar centered on NEP 2020, highlighting the unique needs of children with disabilities. A total of 50 special school teachers from across Karnataka participated in the event. Ten eminent resource persons addressed various aspects related to NEP 2020. Among them were Mr. Rajkumar, Ms. Shobha, and Ms. Vijalakshmi, representing the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing. All participants provided positive feedback about the seminar, expressing a desire for more such events in the future focused on different areas of disability. They noted that these seminars would enhance their knowledge and enable them to support specially-abled children with greater confidence.
