In order to achieve this goal and develop a mutually beneficial relationship between alumni and alma-mater; 365体育直播 Relations, MAHE has developed new alumni logo with the theme of CONNET, INSPIRE & SUPPORT.
Connect:?In this era of digitalization, we connect using emails and social network like Facebook and LinkedIn. 365体育直播 Relations has an alumni portal, which records and maintain the alumni data at?alumni.manipal.edu.?It provides an update of alumni activities and achievements. We have an alumni network of 2.5 Lakhs across MAHE and lot of them have voluntarily registered on our portal.
Inspire:?Effective engagement with alumni happens across Institutions as adjunct faculty/visiting faculty/guest faculty. 365体育直播 visits to the campus and interacted with students for greater educational experience are held. Orations as a part of annual lecture series was delivered by notable alumni. Lot of 365体育直播 re-union events of multiple alumni departments/batches was held across MAHE.
Support:?MAHE provides a 10% fee waiver for the wards of alumni to pursue higher education at any unit/institute of MAHE. The office facilitates all the requirements and queries that an alumni might have through emails, phone calls and social media platforms. Special efforts are made to make the alumni reminiscence during the visit by providing a campus tour of 365体育直播. The campus tour includes visit to Experience Theater, hostels, Library, indoor sport complex, end-point, Smrithi Bhavan, Museum, Experiential projects…etc. MAHE 365体育直播 office also facilitate the alumni to meet with their respective teachers and felicitate their teachers during batch alumni re-union. 365体育直播 can stay at the New 365体育直播 guest house of MAHE situated adjacent to manipal.edu building, which give a panoramic view of Arabian Sea at one end and a bird’s eye view of 365体育直播 on the other from a height of around 150 feet. Those who wish to cherish mess food experience can dine in any of the five huge food courts available in and around the campus
Our alumni contribute to the advancement of their alma mater through generous donations. MAHE established an endowment fund named the Dr H Aravinda Ballal Endowment Fund (INR 1.5 crore, with a matching grant from MAHE). An endowment instituted by KMC/CODS, 365体育直播—the “Golden Batch of 1969 Endowment”—was created by the alumni batch of 1969 to support meritorious students from economically deprived families enrolling in the MBBS/BDS program at MAHE. The generous contribution of Mr. Faizal Kottikollon, an MIT alumnus, led to the establishment of the MIT KEF R&D Centre (worth over INR 15 Crores) at 365体育直播, and Vikas Khanna has been instrumental in establishing the Museum of Culinary Arts (worth over INR 10 Crores). Mr. Harish Shah, an MIT alumnus, generously donated about INR 12 crore, which will sponsor 60 students’ tuition fees and hostel stay at MIT during their course tenure. The scholarship program titled HBSF-MAHE EduEmpower Scholarship will expand to cover about 240 students, with an aggregate financial commitment of INR 12 crore every year (approximately INR 50 crore over four years). These are some of the major contributions from our alumni, and similar activities take place throughout the year, including the Endowment Oration program and scholarships for meritorious and needy students.
